I am in full pregnant girl nesting mode these days. In my search to find inspirational art I can live with for a long time - and dress up a few walls in need of love, I have become very enamored of the work of two talented painters. Holly Ward Bimba is a Virginia-based watercolor artist with a flare for natural history. I'm partial to botanical illustration so her pieces had instant appeal for me. The earthy tones and natural subjects make for very soothing wall decor. She sells original work exclusively in her lovely Etsy shop. See my favorites below. I recommend a visit to her beautiful blog where you can catch a glimpse of her latest pieces and enjoy her gorgeous photography.
Tastes Orangey. I purchased this sewn print recently (first image below) and love the added texture of the stitching. I think her pieces featuring people in repose are perfect for a bedroom. She has a great blog, too. I love to learn more about artists, their process, and their inspiration via their blogs, don't you?
